Chef Ed grew up in a Puerto Rican household where the kitchen was a place of connection. He spent his childhood watching his grandparents prepare traditional dishes slow-cooked, richly seasoned, and made with heart. Those early moments ignited a passion that would shape his life. Driven to deepen his craft, Ed traveled throughout Puerto Rico, learning regional recipes and techniques from cooks, elders, and street vendors who carried generations of culinary wisdom. As his skills evolved, he blended these traditions with modern approaches, honoring his heritage while elevating every plate. Since launching Forks & Flames, Ed has dedicated himself to sharing the vibrant flavors of his culture through elegant presentation, refined service, and a warm, personal touch. Each dish reflects where he’s been and the stories that inspired him.
